A retinol peel is a clinical-strength vitamin A treatment applied in the studio and left on for several hours. It doesn't burn the skin the way acid peels do; it tells the cells to turn over faster. What to expect during a retinol peel in Burbank

Skin check and prep. Anna reviews your skin and history and cleanses and degreases.
Application. The retinol solution is layered on. It may tingle and turn the skin slightly yellow; that's the vitamin A.
Leave on. You go home with the peel on. Anna tells you when to wash it off, usually 4 to 8 hours later.
Home removal. Rinse with cool water and a gentle cleanser; moisturize.
Follow-up. Flaking starts around day 3; written aftercare covers the week.

Does a retinol peel hurt?

No. Mild tingling and warmth. It's the most comfortable peel on the menu.

How much peeling will I have?

Light flaking for 2 to 3 days, starting around day 3. Nothing like the sheets from a TCA.

Why do I take it home?

Retinol works with time, not heat. It's left on for 4 to 8 hours so the vitamin A absorbs, then washed off. Anna gives you the exact timing.

Retinol peel or Jessner?

Retinol for dullness, early aging and minimal downtime. Jessner for oily, congested, acne-prone skin and post-acne marks.

Can I use my retinol cream after?

Not for 5 to 7 days. Then restart gradually.

Is it safe for darker skin?

Yes. Retinol peels carry less pigmentation risk than acid peels, which is why Anna often chooses them for deeper skin tones. Series pricing is below.
