How rosacea is treated at NewskinLA

Rosacea is a medical condition; an esthetician doesn't cure it, and Anna will say so. What she can do is calm it: reduce redness and flushing, strengthen the skin barrier so it reacts less, and stop the cycle of harsh products that makes it worse. Many clients arrive after over-exfoliating or using acne products on skin that needed the opposite.

The approach is gentle and consistent. Red LED light therapy is the anchor treatment, because it calms inflammation with nothing touching the skin. Calming facials with no acids or steam, a modified DMK protocol for skin function, and the Salmon DNA facial for barrier repair round it out. The home routine is short: gentle cleanser, barrier cream, mineral SPF, nothing else until the skin settles.

If you're on a prescription from a dermatologist, the treatments work alongside it. Bring the name of what you use

Rosacea treatment FAQ

Can facials help rosacea?
Yes, if they're the right ones. Calming, barrier-focused treatments and LED reduce redness and reactivity. Acids, steam, scrubs and heat make it worse, and none of those are used on rosacea skin here.
Is LED safe for rosacea?
Yes. Red LED is one of the few in-studio treatments that calms rosacea rather than triggering it. More on LED here.
Can I get a peel?
Generally no during a flare, and only very gentle ones once the skin is calm. Anna will tell you honestly.
Do you replace my dermatologist?
No. The treatments work alongside prescription care. Bring what you're using.
What should I stop using?
Usually scrubs, acids, retinol, fragranced products and hot water. Anna reviews your routine at the first visit.
How much does rosacea treatment cost in Burbank?
LED sessions start at $[ ]; series pricing on the LED page.
